Born in 1917 in Zurich (Switzerland)
His work concentrates on the principal of variations of a unique theme.
While he maintains the influence of the concrete art particular to Zurich artist Bill et de Lohse, since 1960 he leans towards determinate vertical mathematics.
He lived and worked for several years at Mouans-Sartoux in the French Alps, and bequeathed his collection to the Museum of Concrete Art.
