Jean (Hans) Arp

Born in 1886 in Strasbourg (France). Died in 1966 in Basel (Switzerland).

Painter, sculptor and poet, Arp helped found the Dada movement.
Though his paintings were closely related to those of the Surrealists, he was also recognized as a great Abstract artist.
He created a few rare pieces of jewelry with the goldsmith François Hugo at the end of the 1950s.
