Marios Voutsinas
Born in 1953 in Paris (France). Lives and works in Athens (Greece).
After periods in the US and in Paris, this Greek artist dedicated himself to jewelry-making in 1974. He established his own workshop in Athens in 1979, and become more closely associated with the Visual Arts, living and working as a designer, a sculptor and an editor of sculptural objects, using varied materials such as hand-made shells, lace, silver and bronze bows, semi-precious stones, mother of pearl, porcelain or even antique crystal. He exhibited in numerous galleries in Greece, Europe and America, and has collaborated with the Benaki Museum in Athens (the same venue that hosted the exhibition “Jewelry by Artists: From Picasso to Koons” in 2011).
