Born in 1881 in Malaga (Spain), deceased in 1973 in Mougins (France)
The major artist of the 20th century. With Georges Braque, he was the founder of the cubist movement and participated in surrealism.
Painter, sculptor, ceramist, he created his first jewels for Dora Maar in 1936 (earthenware with painted or engraved gravel insets).
In the 1960s, he collaborated with François Hugo in the design of approximately 30 pieces of gold jewelry, all signed and produced in very limited editions.
