Jesús Rafael Soto
Born in 1923 in Ciudad Bolivar (Venezuela), deceased in 2005 in Paris (France)
Painter and sculptor, Soto settled in France in the early 1950s.
Major artist in the Op Art movement, and a contributor to kinetic art as well, Soto is above all known for his paintings and constructions that were both geometric and optical.
His “Kinetic walls” are installed today on public buildings all over the world.
