Günther Uecker
Born in 1930 in Wendorf (Germany)

Both a painter and sculptor, he has used the nail as the centerpiece of his work since the mid 50s.
Through Yves Klein, his brother-in-law, he joined the group Zero in 1961.

In 2011, he created his first jewel, a ring on which the gold protrusions seemed nailed onto their base.
It is reminiscent in shape of his “Chair with Nails” (2007).
