American Painter, Roy Lichtenstein is considered as one of the leaders of Pop Art.
Better than anyone else, he personified the American version.
A subversive artist, he was often inspired by publicity and comic books that lent an aura of innocence and lightness to his work which in fact were ironic denunciations of american society during his active period.
